Toshiba Introduces New TDP-T95U Digital Projector Special Features on TDP-T95U Include One-Touch Auto Set-up (February 22, 2006)

Toshiba?s Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today introduced the TDP-T95U DLP (digital light processing) mobile projector, a sleek and travel-friendly projector designed for presenters who expect and demand quality, flexibility and performance for $1,299.

The TDP-T95U incorporates a host of special new features that make giving presentations more convenient, including:

·One-touch auto setup on a fully-loaded presentation remote to ensure worry-free, professional presentations even in the most unforgiving environments;

·?Blackboard? function that allows a presenter to make a wall color adjustment when projecting on a non-screen surface for more attractive and readable presentations;

·Instant power shut down capability enables the projector to power off once disconnected from the outlet with no cool-down time required;

·Digital zoom function on the remote control allows the presenter to zoom in on a specific image presentation element such as spreadsheet numbers or other important details.

Featuring DLP technology, the TDP-T95U offers 2,200 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio and an XGA 1024x768 native resolution to deliver clear, vibrant and razor-sharp images. The projector also features Toshiba?s unique Natural Color Enhancer2, the company?s latest enhanced color correction circuitry that makes DLP images look more natural, delivering exceptionally sharp and vivid images.

Weighing 6.4 pounds, the TDP-T95U projector offers users an array of connectivity options, including composite video, component and S-video inputs, audio in and variable audio output capabilities.  The projector also includes a special monitor output connector that allows users to simultaneously view presentations on an external display as well as the screen.  This feature allows presenters to face their audience rather than turning around to read the slides appearing on the screen.

The TDP-T95U also includes automatic vertical keystone correction (plus or minus 30 degrees) that instantly projects a square image even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle to the screen.    In addition, the unit includes a wireless infrared controller that wirelessly synchronizes with a computer and allows a user to control the projector from their PC.

The Toshiba TDP-T95U is currently available through Toshiba?s authorized distributors, dealers, VARs, retailers, mail-order outlets and www.ToshibaDirect.com.
