Slaughter in Syria Must End: Save the Children Statement

(May 26, 2012)

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 05/26/12 -- "The deaths, in Houla, of so many innocent children is horrifying and totally unacceptable," said Save the Children's Chief Executive Patricia Erb.

She added: "This indiscriminate killing must stop now. The world cannot sit back and allow this to happen. Children are suffering terribly in this conflict. We need open and unfettered humanitarian access to Syria to reach the many thousands of children who are terrified and in need of help and urgent medical care. We urge all sides to observe the cease-fire to prevent this senseless slaughter."
