Choosing A Tablet - Spec to SpecNexus 10 vs iPad vs Kindle Fire HD vs Microsoft Surface
Ok you want a new tablet. Now would seem the perfect time, with all the top contenders with brand new tablets to choose from. The new iPad. The Nexus 10. The Kindle Fire HD. Microsoft Surface. Each has its own special features, its own uniqueness. It's own ecosystem of support applications, software, content and peripherals. The question is which one is right for you?
It's not an easy choice. The iPad has the most apps, but Google Android is gaining ground. Kindle Fire HD has Amazon's excellent support environment for content - movies, books, music - but the iPad has the app store and iTunes. Google has Play - apps, movies, music. And now Microsoft with its new Surface tablet family enters the fray with its own unique hardware and its Windows legacy. (Even though you won't recognize Windows 8 as your fathers Windows!)
So where to start?
We thought the best starting point is to compare specs to specs. Display vs memory, storage vs expandability. What is it you value the most?
Here is your jumping off point. Have fun but don't expect the choice to be easy!
