DMN Newswire--2013-1-15--
Creative marketing agency Bemis Balkind has promoted Jeffrey Almeida to the position of VP, Account Services. The announcement was made today by agency partners Peter Bemis and Aubrey Balkind.

Jeffrey Almeida originally joined Bemis Balkind in 2008 as Account Executive. In that capacity, he was charged to help run the newly re-established Home Entertainment department and to oversee Account Services for clients including Universal, Fox, Paramount, Anchor Bay and DreamWorks. Some recent package design and print campaigns Almeida has helped to spearhead include those for The 50th Anniversary release of all 22 James Bond films, Madagascar 3, Black Swan, Kung Fu Panda 2, Barbarella, and 2011 Silver Key Art Award winner, A Man Called Horse.

Prior to joining Bemis Balkind, Almeida was a Senior Producer in the Motion Graphics department of Drissi Multimedia, overseeing the design of hundreds of DVD and HD DVD menus, including those for Ray, The Bourne Ultimatum, Scarface, Munich, American Gangster, The Notebook, Meet the Fockers, Seed of Chucky, Friday After Next, Hairspray and Brokeback Mountain, to name just a few. He was the winner of a Silver BDA North America Award for the DVD Menu Design of Dawn of the Dead for Universal.

Almeida began his career as a copywriter, working on DVD titles for New Line Cinema, including The Cell and Sugar and Spice. To this day, his first published tagline remains one of his favorites -- written for the DVD release of Adam Sandler's Little Nicky, the phrase "Being Evil Ain't Easy" - remains on the package to this day, 12 years later. When possible, Almeida continues to contribute copy for many of his projects.

From traditional to new media, Bemis Balkind's core mission has never wavered: "Use the power of creativity to redefine and enhance the audience's experience." In addition to successfully marketing feature films, a number of the agency's other assignments have involved launching new products and services, whether
physical venues such as The Getty Center, new industries, like premium cable TV (HBO), 24-hour news (CNN), televised sports (ESPN), and online financial services for clients including Goldman Sachs.

From its inception, Bemis Balkind garnered widespread notice for its game-changing campaign promoting the classic film "Rosemary's Baby." Since then, the company has become a multi-award winning, and highly regarded creative agency, renowned for designing and executing major motion picture campaigns, including those for "Forrest Gump," "Alien, "Superman," "Fatal Attraction," Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland 3D," "Slumdog Millionaire," "Black Swan," "Bad Teacher," "Shrek," and many others.
